At Horten, we believe that everyone we hire has talent, and we enable our employees to apply their talents in their daily work and continuously develop new skills. This benefits both you as an employee and our clients.

GOambition

Our career development concept, GOambition, supports that we all need to develop, but not necessarily in the same way, at the same pace or with the same goals in mind. We do not aim to develop our talents with a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, you are offered individual, targeted development and responsibility as well as choices fitted to your wishes. You can structure your career in a way that fulfils your current career ambitions.

Your development will be based on your wishes, ambitions, qualifications and potential, and aligned with Horten’s growth, strategy and the needs of each department. The opportunities for building a career with us are numerous:

Career table

GOambition requires that we offer a wide range of development activities. Your development can take place through:

  • Our internal course programme, Horten Academy, where you have the opportunity to acquire and develop both personal and professional competences
  • External courses
  • Mentoring, collaboration, involvement, responsibility and an open feedback culture, where you learn new things and acquire relevant competences in your daily work

GOambition not only individualises competence development and career opportunities, but also contains the possibility of individualised conditions. We have a performance culture and are ambitious on behalf of all our employees. At the same time, we are open to the fact that some need individualised conditions in terms of flexibility, working hours, etc. while others are primarily motivated by gaining experience, achieving specific results or taking on greater responsibility.

Horten Academy

Our internal training programme, Horten Academy, provides the framework for professional development and training at Horten, offering all staff groups a range of courses tailored to the individual roles. The aim is to build, maintain, and develop strong professional skills among our staff.

We have high expectations for you as an employee, meaning that we expect you to be committed, approachable and ambitious. We expect you to put in a significant effort and share a passion for the law. As a result, we will be able to create as much value as possible for our clients. We support this proactively by giving you the opportunity to develop the professional and personal competences directly related to Horten's practice areas, sector focus and strategy.

The courses at Horten Academy range from short sessions focused on knowledge sharing to multi-day courses, where the material is explored in depth, incorporating practical examples, cases, and exercises.
