TotalEnergies E&P Denmark A/S has entered into a farm-down agreement with CarbonVault, the Danish affiliate of German cement producer Schwenk.

Under the agreement, TotalEnergies will retain a 45% interest in the Bifrost Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Project as operator, alongside CarbonVault (35%) and Nordsøfonden (20%).

The Bifrost Project is a cornerstone of TotalEnergies’ North Sea CCS portfolio and includes two offshore CO₂ storage licenses located approximately 200 km west of the Danish coast.

Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals.

Horten Advokatpartnerselskab advises TotalEnergies on the transaction. The Horten team includes Christian Tullberg, Peter Helbo Langsted, Ruth Caddock Hansen, and Christian Vesterling.
