Capital D, the next generation private equity fund manager investing in disruptive founder-led mid-market businesses across Europe, has acquired a significant stake in Ønskeskyen (also known as GoWish outside of Scandinavia), the social commerce platform.

Founded in 2015, Ønskeskyen has expanded its user base to nearly 10 million registered users worldwide. It has firmly established itself as the leading platform in the online wishlist category and the market leader in Scandinavia, with over 4 million users across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. In Denmark alone, more than half of the adult population has signed up for the app.

Capital D invested in Ønskeskyen due to its distinctive, mission-driven approach to gifting and e-commerce, which has fueled its rapid international expansion and strong market presence, and its compelling mission to put an end to product returns and double gifting.
