Aptean, a global player in industry-specific software for manufacturers and distributors, has acquired JMA, an international group headquartered in Denmark that provides software for heavy equipment, agricultural and construction machinery dealers.
Aptean is a global software company specializing in industry-specific solutions, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. Since its establishment in 2012, Aptean has strengthened its market position through a series of acquisitions and now provides industry-specific solutions to manufacturers and distributors worldwide.
JMA is an international group headquartered in Randers, Denmark with operations in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany. Founded in 1990, JMA provides a mission-critical dealer management solution which is designed to connect and digitize every part of the agricultural and construction machinery dealership.
The acquisition is part of Aptean’s strategy to scale the group’s global capabilities in dealer service and management, as well as to strengthen its presence in the Nordic region.
Horten has advised its long-term client, Aptean, throughout the transaction process, from the initial phase and due diligence to negotiation and the completion of the ownership transfer.
