A new Managing Partner is to be elected at a partner meeting in December, as current Managing Partner, Christian Gregersen, is leaving Horten along with co-chair of the board, Mikkel Primdal Kæregaard. New sole chair of the board, Line Markert, looks forward to starting a new chapter in Horten's 71-year history.

"I would like to thank Christian and Mikkel for the hard work and dedication, they have shown Horten. It is no secret that there have been conflicting opinions about our strategic direction, and I am now looking forward to embarking on a new chapter where we, as a unified, cohesive team, can maintain a laser sharp focus on strategy, growth, and, not least, the needs of our clients. Horten is a company which is constantly evolving, and we are committed to ensuring that every change benefit clients, employees, and the surrounding society. Current developments are no exception," says Line Markert.

She makes clear that the role of Managing Partner may not necessarily be refilled in its current form:

"We are in the process of reviewing how the role of Managing Partner is structured and whether, in its current setup, it provides us with the right framework to fulfill the many ambitions we have on behalf of clients as well as our company. Together with our COO, Anders Bager Jensen, our board and group of partners, I will now continue to have productive discussions on this matter leading up to December."

Until December’s partner meeting, the daily management of Horten will be handled by an executive committee consisting of Line Markert, Anders Bager Jensen, and lawyer and partner Lars Lüneborg. Line Markert has, up until now, been co-chair of Horten's board but will now continue as sole chair. Christian Gregersen and Mikkel Primdal Kæregaard will leave Horten as soon as practicalities are settled and will, going forward, be part of the partner group at Kromann Reumert.
