The owners of HVACON Marine Systems A/S, which is a market-leading company within energy optimisation solutions and software for the maritime industry, has sold a majority stake to Capidea.
Capidea is a Danish-based private equity fund that makes long-term investments in competitive small and medium-sized companies primarily within industry, distribution, software and services. Capidea’s investment is made with a long-term, growth-orientated focus in mind.
The previous owners will continue as significant shareholders and in their respective roles as members of the management.
Horten has advised the sellers in connection with the transaction. Horten’s M&A team was headed by attorney Christian Vesterling assisted by assistant attorney Diana Bojaj.
