Ocean Technologies Group (OTG), the leading global provider of Human Capital Management solutions tailored for the maritime sector, has acquired DanDocs, a Danish software firm specializing in aiding operators in adhering to industry regulations.

DanDocs' digital platform, MarineRegulation, incorporates intelligent features designed to streamline the navigation of crucial documentation, ultimately saving time, mitigating risks, and ensuring that ship operators remain up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Strategic acquisition

This strategic acquisition underscores OTG's commitment to empowering maritime teams both at sea and onshore. The addition of MarineRegulations to OTG's portfolio enables OTG to offer its customers immediate access to value-added software and services. Moreover, by integrating these complementary capabilities over time, OTG seeks to strengthen its compliance offerings further.

OTG is a portfolio company of Oakley Capital, the pan-European private equity investor. Oakley Capital first invested in OTG in 2019 through the simultaneous acquisition and combination of two e-learning providers to the maritime industry, Seagull and Videotel, followed by a further five bolt-on acquisitions. The acquisition of DanDocs marks the sixth bolt-on.

Horten has advised OTG on all aspects of the transaction, including due diligence and negotiation, as well as entering into transaction agreements. The M&A team was led by partner Frans Rossen assisted by attorney Christian Vesterling and assistant attorney Diana Bojaj.
