In 2021, Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects was acquired by a private equity fund, where Horten advised on the transaction. With the acquisition of the majority holding in Arkitektfirmaet Kjaer & Richter A/S, Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects continue its growth journey.
Arkitektfirmaet Kjaer & Richter A/S was founded in 1954 and employs approx. 50 employees at its offices in Aarhus, Aalborg and Copenhagen. With the new collaboration between two of Denmark's leading architectural firms, Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects' main focus is to strengthen its core business and penetrate new – national as well as international - markets.
Horten has advised Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects on the transaction. Team-responsible partner Mikkel Primdal Kæregaard was assisted by director Jonas Eigil Nielsen and assistant attorney Iben Møller Vollesen.
