Maj Invest Equity has entered into a partnership with the Wendelbo family in connection with the company’s purchase of the majority of the shares in Wendelbo Møbel Design A/S. The family will continue in the company’s management and as minority shareholder after the completion of the transaction.
Wendelbo Møbel Design is a successful Danish design company, which designs, manufactures and markets furniture - primarily sofas, chairs and tables under the brands Wendelbo and Won. Wendelbo’s design furniture is sold globally – North America being the largest market.
In recent years, the company has achieved significant two-digit growth rates across products, distribution channels and geographic markets, and Maj Invest Equity and the Wendelbo family see a large number of attractive possibilities of expanding the company together.
