Listed property company Catena AB has acquired Denmark's largest logistics center from DSV, adding 315,000 sq.m. of sustainable logistics to their portfolio.
The Horsens property consisting of a 705,000 sq.m. plot including office, warehouse and cross-dock buildings is valued at around DKK 3.3 billion, making it the largest real estate transaction of the year so far and the largest single asset deal ever in Denmark.
The buildings will be certified to DGNB silver and gold. The roofs will feature large solar cell plants with an expected capacity of 35 MWp annually. This, combined with other energy solutions, makes the entire facility self-sufficient.
DSV Road has, in connection with the transaction, signed a 14-year lease agreement evolving the existing relations between Catena and DSV. With this transaction, DSV in fact becomes Catena's largest tenant.
Horten has assisted Catena with all legal matters related to the transaction.
The team was led by partner Alessandro Traina and consisted of Cecilia Engel, Thomas Wiborg Jakobsen, Camilla Brix Maach, Martin Lars Mols Jensen, Marie Bockhahn, Morten Brun Winkelmann, Line Melissa Halberg, Rune Halkjær Ebbesen, Vibeke Hammershøi and Emil Spurr Madsen.
