In May 2021, the Jutlandish/Funen energy group EWII acquired the power network in Bornholm - El-Net Øst - from Bornholms Energi & Forsyning. In the intervening period, the Energy Agency has approved the acquisition.
In May 2021, EWII’s 100 % owned subsidiary TREFOR Infrastruktur A/S and Bornholms Energi og Forsyning Holding A/S concluded an agreement concerning TREFOR's acquisition of 100 % of the shares in El-Net Øst A/S.
In the intervening period, the Energy Agency has approved the acquisition, and the parties therefore concluded the transaction on 30 September 2021.
Horten has assisted EWII and TREFOR with all legal advice concerning the transaction.
