Horten has assisted Maj Invest Equity with the acquisition of 51 % of the shares in Genan Holding A/S. After the transaction, the pension company PKA will continue as the minority shareholder.
The Genan group is the world’s largest tyre recycling business with six recycling plants in Denmark, Germany, Portugal and the USA and more than 300 employees worldwide. Genan is a pioneering company within the recycling industry and has been one of the leading Danish companies within the green transition for many years. With the total production capacity at the six plants, Genan can save the world from 280,000 tonnes of CO2 each year.
Horten has advised Maj Invest Equity about all legal aspects of the transaction. Horten’s M&A team consisted of partner Thomas Francis Beckett and attorney Cecilie Frost Adamsen.
