Horten has assisted the climate-friendly energy company Modstrøm with the sale of the company to the capital fund Waterland Private Equity.
Modstrøm was established in 2008 and supplies electricity to more than 75,000 customers and advises them on energy improvements. In 2019, Modstrøm's turnover was DKK 257 million, and the operating profit (EBITDA) increased by 47 % to DKK 30 million. It is a full acquisition, and the purchase price is confidential.
