Horten has advised the German investment management company LHI Group in all legal aspects of the purchase from European Energy A/S of the photo voltaic (PV) plant Solar Park Hanstholmvej.
The solar park is the first of its kind in Denmark with bi-facial modules, meaning that the panels absorb sunlight from both sides of the panel. This increases the productivity so that it can generate more green power on the same space compared to a traditional solar park. The plant has a total capacity of approx. 50 MW and is located in Thisted, Denmark.
A corporate power purchase agreement (CPPA) has been made with a large international company for the project. The CPPA is a long-term agreement, which ensures green electricity at a competitive fixed price for the customer.
The buyer, LHI Group, is one of Germany’s largest privately-owned asset managers. The company is located in Munich and manages assets totaling approx. 16 billion euros.
