The City of Copenhagen and Realdania have entered into an agreement with Live Nation on the sale of shares in the arena company that owns Royal Arena. As tenant, Live Nation's subsidiary Danish Venue Enterprise is in charge of the operation and rental of Royal Arena for concerts, sports and events.

Royal Arena opened in 2017 and was established through municipal and philanthropic funding from the City of Copenhagen and Realdania, which each own half of the shares in the arena company, Arena CPHX P/S.

The parties always intended to sell Royal Arena at some point, and following a public tender, a purchase agreement has now been entered into with Live Nation.

Horten has advised the City of Copenhagen and Realdania throughout the process.

Horten's team was headed by partner Michael Neumann and partner Rune Halkjær Ebbesen.
