Horten has assisted the listed Danish company North Media A/S in buying Sweden's largest distributor of advertising print materials and local weekly newspapers Svensk Direkt Reklam AB (SDR). North Media buys SDR for DKK 350 million. SEK.
Ge-Te Media, which is a subsidiary of Byggmästaren, has entered into an agreement to sell SDR Svensk Direktreklam AB ("SDR") to North Media A/S.
SDR distributes unaddressed printed matter as well as local weekly newspapers efficiently and targeted on a large scale. North Media gives SRD good opportunities to develop further and at the same time strengthen product offerings in both Denmark and Sweden. At North Media, SDR gets industrial know-how and good development opportunities for the benefit of employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
In Sweden, SDR in 2023 distributes approx. 1.2 billion printed matter and local weekly newspapers for DKK 4.5 million. Swedish households.
North Media develops and operates platforms for transactions between businesses and consumers. They ensure that the retailer's offers reach the consumers' mailboxes, mailboxes, or smartphones, and they also deliver local newspapers to households throughout the country. It is a company of 450 employees and approx. 10,000 part-time distributors.
Byggmästaren Anders J Ahlström Holding AB is an investment company whose overall goal is to create long-term value for shareholders as well as for society and other stakeholders primarily in the Nordic region.
The deal is expected to close on 29 December 2023.
