Horten’s survey of de minimis funding provides a geographical overview of the concept.
De minimis funding is a simplified procedure which may be applied in connection with minor funding initiatives on certain conditions. If EU state aid may be granted under the procedure of the de minimis regulation (1407/2013), the aid is not to be reported to and approved by the Commission. However, the aid may still be covered by a duty of registration, see more under “Notification and registration”.
As a main rule, the de minimis regulation may be applied to aid which does not exceed EUR 200,000 over a three-year period.
