Horten has admitted Andreas Schønbeck as partner as of 1 October 2022.
Andreas Schønbeck has more than 10 years’ experience as in-house counsel of some of the world’s largest leading offshore and onshore wind turbine manufacturers, Vestas Offshore Wind and Vestas Wind Systems, and is probably the most experienced Danish attorney in relation to contracts within the wind industry’s supply chain. He is specialised in advising on complex contracts - both in relation to drafting, negotiation, interpretation of and disputes concerning contracts. Since graduating as a lawyer in 2009, Andreas has worked internationally and negotiated contracts globally.
Andreas Schønbeck changed to the legal profession in 2020 when joining Horten from Vestas to a position as senior attorney in the department of Energy, Supply and Infrastructure. In March 2022, Andreas Schønbeck was appointed director in the same department where he will now become partner as of 1 October.
In the international legal directories Legal 500, IFLR1000 and Chambers, Horten and several of Horten’s partners are recognised as leading within energy, infrastructure and project development. Andreas Schønbeck will contribute to consolidating this Tier 1 position and ensuring continuity through advising the stakeholders in the green transition - the manufacturers of renewable energy and the companies behind them and behind new, sustainable energy solutions and infrastructure.
Andreas Schønbeck has also been an external lecturer at the University of Aarhus for seven years and has written textbooks about NDA’s, product liability and international contracts and a number of articles about contracts.
In 2018, Andreas was nominated for Berlingske Business Talent 100 in the category “advisers”.
