Horten Advokatpartnerselskab has admitted Jan Bech as partner as at 1 October 2019.
Attorney Jan Bech has joined Horten as partner and will be part of Horten’s Restructuring & Insolvency team. Jan will be located in Aarhus. The admission is part of Horten’s strategic objective of continued growth.
Jan is an expert within insolvency law and restructuring of enterprises, arrangements with creditors and bankruptcy proceedings. He also advises on all aspects relating to commercial law, including sale, acquisitions and restructuring of insolvent enterprises. As the attorney of the Danish Dairy Board and a number of dairies, he has also obtained wide experience within this industry, and he has a number of clients within the car industry for which he has conducted a a number of leading cases on vehicle registration fee.
Jan is an experienced litigator with a right to appear before the Supreme Court, and he has extensive lecturing experience, including as a lecturer at the master's degree programme in law and the Elite Module at the University of Aarhus.
Jan is a member of several boards of directors and is recommended in IFLR1000, Chambers and Legal 500. He graduated from the University of Aarhus in 1991.
Jan comes from a position as partner with DLA Piper like attorney Nicolai Thornemann who joined Horten as partner mid-August. At the same time, attorney Søren Bøgelund and secretary Rikke Magelund Pedersen are joining Horten from DLA Piper.
Nicolai will be located at Horten’s office in Aarhus, which currently employs 70 people. Horten employs approx. 350 people in offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Herning.
