Birgitte Frølund heads Hortens Litigation team and has in-depth experience in all forms of dispute resolution, including civil proceedings, arbitration and mediation. In recent years, Birgitte has handled mainly large, complex legal actions - often regarding international matters and agreements and often regarding financial or insolvency issues. Birgitte also stands out within legally complex and regulatory disputes. She has many years’ experience and thorough knowledge of both business affairs and public authorities. Clients are recognising Birgitte for being strategic, business-orientated and a convincing litigator. Birgitte is often appointed to be in charge of legal investigations as assessor and investigator, including in connection with whistleblower examinations. Finally, Birgitte is experienced within corporate defence, representing companies and management members within corporate criminal law. Birgitte has been in charge of cases connected with England, the USA, Germany, Sweden, Canada and Liechtenstein, etc. Birgitte’s most recent cases include:
Birgitte is very concerned about lawyers’ collegiate relationship and has had a seat in a number of committees set up by the Danish Bar and Law Society; she teaches the professional code of conduct of lawyers and has been a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Danish Bar and Law Society for several years.
