The Danish Energy Agency will host a market dialogue concerning draft tender specifications for the technology neutral tender in 2019. In the tender, wind turbines and solar cells will compete to deliver the most green power in the cheapest possible way.

In 2017, the government and the Danish People’s Party made an agreement to let wind turbines and solar cells compete to deliver the most green power in the cheapest possible way in connection with technology neutral tenders in 2018 and 2019. In connection with the 2019 tender, the Danish Energy Agency has requested written comments and questions to the draft tender specifications.

According to the Danish Energy Agency, the weighted average of the winning price supplement amounted to DKK 2.27/kWh in connection with the 2018 tender. This should be seen in connection with the previous subsidiary scheme ('the 25 øre').

The time limit for forwarding of questions and comments is 19 June 2019, at 10.
