Lisbet Vedel Thomsen is specialised within public law, administrative law and human rights and has wide experience in advising municipalities and other public authorities on the interface between public and private regulation on matters concerning authority and liability as well as case handling.
Lisbet has wide experience in dispute resolution and liability in damages in relation to exercise of official authority. She has represented municipalities in cases concerning revocation of permits to run institutions, payment of rates to private nursing homes and allocation of costs in connection with closing of institutions.
Within the social area, Lisbet advises and conducts litigation for municipalities concerning inter-municipal reimbursement and awarding of early retirement pension and other benefits.
She is also specialised in dispute resolution as a mediator.
Lisbet conducts numerous legal proceedings and represents the Patient Compensation Appeals Board in cases concerning the public patient compensation scheme.
