On 1 July 2018, Horten will open an office in Aarhus and gain market shares in Jutland. This is part of Horten’s growth strategy.
"For the past ten years, Horten has undergone a significant development with growth on all parameters. The expansion in Jutland therefore reflects our ambitions and is a natural part of Horten's growth strategy”, says managing partner Finn Schwarz.
Danish law firms are undergoing changes, and Horten is constantly making efforts to obtain an optimal position - both geographically and on the market. Jutland is therefore a natural next step for Horten as local anchoring is an important part of the law firm's continued growth on the Danish market.
“A physical presence in Aarhus and Jutland is important for our continued growth. We will be present where our clients are. The Aarhus office will support our ambitions to grow and provide even better services to our clients. And we plan to grow further in the near future”, says chairman of the board, Mikkel Primdal Kæregaard.
From day one, Horten will be a new strong player in Jutland. Horten expands with five strong attorneys as new partners: Sophus Bøgeskov Christensen, Lars Gregersen, Flemming Bastholm, Michael Gregersen and Tanja Lykke Stougaard and more than 70 employees.
The five prominent partners have a wide portfolio of commercial clients. Lars Gregersen is specialised within real estate and advises on contracts, construction and project development. Sophus Bøgeskov Christensen advises on disputes and professional liability nationally and internationally. Flemming Bastholm is specialised within insolvency law and advises companies with special focus on financing and insolvency law, including in relation to restructuring proceedings and as trustee of bankruptcy estates. Michael Gregersen and Tanja Lykke Stougaard are both specialised within insolvency law with special focus on financing and leasing. They operate a highly specialised business based on a tailored digital platform. All new partners come from Delacour.
Horten’s office in Aarhus will be located at a temporary address until the new office is ready at the turn of the year.
