The annual IBA conference (International Bar Association) in Vienna recently finished successfully. The conference is held each year with the participation of 6,000 lawyers from 115 countries. It was an exciting conference for Horten's participants, leaving the conference with a lot of new knowledge on the latest trends within the business and many new international business relations.

Two of Horten's participants were also invited as panel co-chair and speaker:

Partner Lise Lotte Hjerrild was co-chair at a panel debate on networking together with - among others - Hilarie Bass, President Elect of ABA and Co-President of Greenberg-Traurig, and Stephen Denyer, Head of International Relations, Law Society of England & Wales. The debate was well-attended and it focused on networking as a concept and the more practical access to networking. The panel had also prepared a handout with  "Dos & Don'ts in Networking".

Partner Niclas Holst Sonne spoke about the development of anti-avoidance rules in international tax law, and he accounted for the general anti-avoidance rules introduced 1 May 2015 as a novelty within Danish tax law.
