26 May 2015 was the date of expiry of the deadline for submission of applications for prequalification to participate in the tendering process for a concession agreement concerning wind farms in Danish near shores areas. The Danish Energy Agency will now decide which potential tenderers will be invited to participate in the tendering process.

When the prequalified tenderers have been selected, the next phase of the tendering process will start. The participants will be able to ask questions to the Energy Agency on the content of the concession agreement until 4 October 2015. Thereafter, the participants must submit their preliminary tenders no later than 20 October 2015. A new question phase will run from 30 October 2015 until 4 April 2016, which is the deadline for submitting a final tender for the concession agreement.

On 6 May 2015, the tendering process for the wind farm Kriegers Flak (600 MW) in the Baltic was launched with a prequalification round running until 1 October 2015.

The Energy Agency has published the qualification criteria for obtaining prequalification to participate in the tendering process. They include a requirement for an annual turnover of minimum DKK 15 billion for the past three years.
