Søren Hornbæk Svendsen is specialised in energy law and general commercial law advising companies within and outside the energy sector. As regards energy law, Søren has special expertise within contracts and regulatory affairs within exploration and production in the North Sea and trade in and transportation of natural gas. He further advises on contracts and financing within wind turbines, and he also has wide experience establishing and implementing whistleblower schemes.

Søren has in-depth knowledge of the energy sector and has experience from both sides of the table - as external attorney, chief attorney and vice president of  DONG Energy (2001-2005) and as group attorney with FL Smidth (1996-2001).

Søren is a member of the Legal Committee of Oil Gas Denmark, the board of Den Danske Energiretsforening (the Danish Association of Energy Law) and the advisory committee of Centre for Enterprise Liability at the University of Copenhagen. Søren is also Denmark's member of Rådet for Avdeling for Petroleumsrett (the Council of the Department of Petroleum Law), the University of Oslo.
