The American Bar Association (ABA) is an international association of attorneys and one of the world’s largest voluntary professional organizations, with over 400,000 members and more than 3,500 entities. ABA Sections are specialty groups that focus on a unique area of law or business - allowing for more in-depth examination of issues, regulations, and national trends.
The International M&A and Joint Venture Committee focuses on topical issues in international and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. This area is of great interest to practitioners in M&A, as more and more of the M&A and joint venture activity has international or cross-border aspects and this trend shows no sign of slowing down. In this environment, practitioners, regulators and legislators in many countries are finding it necessary to be knowledgeable about the international transaction aspects.
