Bill on new procurement act re-introduced

The Minister of Business and Growth has re-introduced the bill on a new procurement act.

The bill is essentially a copy of the bill introduced in the spring. This means that the bill still contains the requirement for publication of an evaluation method and the duty to end contracts in case of the Complaints Board's cancellation of the award decision.

Special attention should be paid to the fact that the regulation of labels (e.g. eco-labels) in section 46 of the bill has been amended, and so has the commencement date of the act. The commencement date is fixed at 1 January 2016 when a completely new procurement world will see the light of day.
